InMobi, Peperonity see 100 percent month-over-month ad growth

InMobi has partnered with peperonity.com, the world's first mobile Web 2.0 platform, reaching a 100 percent month-over-month advertising growth.

The partnership is meant to monetize peperonity.com's mobile traffic from its user base of more than 10 million users in its top 10 markets such as Indonesia, India, South Africa and Bangladesh. InMobi sees great mobile advertising potential with peperonity.com combined with its more than 700 publishers.

"Peperonity.com has a very diverse and large user base," said Amit Gupta, head of business development at InMobi, Bangalore, India. "Today, more than 10 million people use the content creation and networking features.

"This kind of a user base provides for a great advertising opportunity," he said. "In addition to this, the type of users who visit peperonity.com are mostly receptive to advertisements.

"The sheer size coupled with the ad-friendly nature of the audience is what makes peperonity.com a gold mine for mobile advertising."

Peperonity.com is a mobile Web 2.0 site that features site building, blogging, chat, photo album and video download functionalities.

With more than 10 million users, peperonity.com is one of the top five mobile sites worldwide, outranking mega-trendy sites such as Facebook and YouTube.

InMobi is a rapidly growing global mobile advertising network with more than 700 publishers to date.

This news comes on the heels of InMobi's recent decision to rebrand from their previous name, mKhoj, in an attempt to better prepare for the global stage (see story).

"With the high volumes of inventory that peperonity.com has, they need a mobile network that is capable of providing consistently high advertising revenue," Mr. Gupta said.

"InMobi's intelligent ad serving platform has delivered solid results on fill rates as well as the highest monetization in several countries," he said. "For InMobi, the benefit stems from the adding a global publisher like peperonity.com with its user base which gives our advertisers a fantastic opportunity."

InMobi claims that a partnership with peperonity.com is a point of pride as they penetrate into new markets as a global ad network.

The partnership between InMobi and Peperonity.com has been operational for four months.

Current advertisers on peperonity.com are Google, Nokia and LG Mobile.

"The future holds a better social networking experience for users with ads being highly targeted and relevant," Mr. Gupta said. "In line with that thought, InMobi and peperonity.com plan to extend their existing partnership across all the markets where peperonity.com is present."
