Rhythm NewMedia to deliver video ads to Vodafone Spain

Rhythm NewMedia has signed an agreement with mobile carrier Vodafone Spain to deliver personalized ads to Vodafone’s 4 million 3G subscribers.
 
The new advertising service will be used by the 10 leading Spanish brands participating in the four-month-long "Vodafone Spain Mobile Marketing Discovery Program" that was just announced. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Our role in this agreement is three-fold,” said Ujjal Kohli, CEO of Rhythm NewMedia, Mountain View, CA. “Firstly, we provide the technology platform and stems to target the ads. We stitch together the advertisement with the video and stream it to the end user. We also went and sourced all of the video content, sourced from professional video companies. And lastly, we plan to sell advertising space.”

Rhythm NewMedia is a provider mobile advertising services, including video, games and banners.
 
Through this deal, breaking news, weather, horoscopes, sports highlights and celebrity news highlights will be available for Vodafone subscribers with a completely ad-funded model. All of this content will be in Spanish.

 “Our ad system uses anonymous data-based targeting to personalize ads,” Mr. Kohli said. “Rhythm makes it easier to monitor viewing frequency more accurately and track campaign success rates.”
