Burst Media introduces Trendsetter ad network

Burst Media introduces Trendsetter ad network

She's going to talk

Burst Media has launched the Burst Trendsetters Network, an advertising network geared to advertisers targeting consumers age 15 to 34 via widgets, video and mobile.

Advertisers can use the Burst Trendsetters Network to target influencers of new trends who often act as brand advocates to their peers. The Burst Trendsetter Network lets marketers reach this group with ads next to content and with options including widgets, video and mobile display ads.

"We have launched an ad network more focused on a particular lifestyle and audience," said David Cooperstein, chief marketing officer of Burst Media, Burlington, MA.

"It isn't just the typical ad network, either. Trendsetters are more likely to interact with video, widgets and mobile and so we are giving advertisers the option of targeting them through these mediums," he said.

These widgets, video, storytelling modules and mobile display ads also extend the reach of an advertiser's message and introduce a viral element to an advertiser's campaign, the company said.

The Burst Trendsetters Network offers brand advertisers standard Interactive Advertising Bureau-approved creative units, rich media placements and custom sponsorships programs.

Burst Media's other vertical network offerings include the Burst Green Network, Burst Family Travelers Network, Burst Baby Boomers Network, Burst Family Builders Network, Burst Moms Network, RealGM Sports Network and CDKitchen Cooking Network.

"Trendsetters are looking for products and services that emulate their personal style," Mr. Cooperstein said.

"To get in front of trendsetters you need to do something different because they are not as engaged with the ads online as they are with mobile, widgets and video ads," he said.
