Ping Mobile signs Myxer as authorized reseller

Ping Mobile, a full-service mobile agency, has announced a partnership with Myxer, a company specializing in ad-supported mobile entertainment, to offer mobile marketing and advertising services for Myxer's advertisers and interactive agency partners.

By leveraging Myxer's 19 million customer base with Ping's technology and promotional offerings, Myxer's advertisers will have access to a mobile marketing service in a market increasingly going mobile.

"The strategy here is to create synergistic mobile marketing solutions for the benefit of brands and interactive agencies interested in mobile solutions," said Shira Simmonds, president of Ping, Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Myxer team and look forward to building upon their success to-date in the mobile entertainment space," she said. "Ping will also be working with Myxer as a reseller of their Web and mobile inventory to Ping clients."

Ping, a subsidiary of Ping Media Group Inc., is a provider of mobile coupons and promotions, enabling retailers and vendors to communicate directly with their customers via their mobile phones.

Myxer is a site for ad-supported mobile entertainment -- with more than 19 million users, 45 million-plus mobile downloads a month and a catalog of 1.7 million ringtones, wallpapers, videos and games.

"Myxer is now able to offer a comprehensive suite of mobile marketing tools, white-labeled from Ping, to their advertisers, which when combined with their 19 million users, is a great one-stop mobile marketing solution, which no one else has," said Steve Spiro, vice president of marketing at Myxer, Deerfield Beach, FL.

"Plus, these mobile marketing tools complement perfectly all the other Web and mobile advertising offerings of Myxer," he said.

Ms. Simmonds said that Ping benefits from the sales of their service by Myxer as a reseller. Ping will also be able to take advantage of Myxer's audience with its own clients looking for an engaged, large audience.

In addition, Ping will be one of Myxer's advertising sales distributors for standard Web and mobile Web advertising.

"Two of the main challenge advertisers face in running mobile marketing campaigns are trying to decide which technology or mobile marketing solution is the best for them to use and how to maximize time/expenditures on reaching their target audience," Ms. Simmonds said.
