Is that what the Canadians think?

Virgin Mobile Canada is calling on Canadians to cast their vote for Barack Obama and decide which Obama-themed ad should be the next in Virgin Mobile's "You Call The Shots" campaign.

Virgin Mobile has run a new series of ads in Metro News featuring politicians who are making the news. First Hillary Clinton wondered if she could get her bill under control. Next, former New York governor Eliot Spitzer was lamenting about how tired he was of being treated like a number.

“This effort is all part of our “You Call The Shots” campaign,” said Chris Baines, spokesman for Virgin Mobile Canada.

“We picked a topical theme that everyone is getting pumped up about and are letting the Canadian public weigh in on the campaign and vote for which Barack Obama spot should be next in line.

Virgin Mobile positions itself in Canada as a mobile operator that gives consumers access to entertainment, control, flexibility and the choice to design mobile packages that they want.

Not yet sink-or-swim

This effort is a part of Virgin Mobile’s latest campaign to introduce it’s new "no-con" contracts.

Visitors to the site at http://www.metronews.ca can view four nominees for the next ad in the series. These ads offer a perspective into what might be on Senator Obama's mind right now.

This winner-takes-all competition will see the elected spot featured in the Friday, April 25 edition of Metro.

Voting is open until 3 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, at which time the Virgin Mobile marketing commander-in-chief will be standing by to take the call about the winning ad.
