ILoop Mobile's Michael Becker wins Rising Star award

Leading mobile evangelist Michael Becker was honored with the the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation's 2009 Rising Star Award last night.

Last night the DMEF added a special mobile marketing component to its Rising Stars Awards dinner.

The DMEF celebrated several bright young future leaders of the marketing industry while demonstrating the impact that mobile marketing and technology can have on charitable giving.

One of the award winners being honored by DMEF was fellow council member Michael Becker.

Mr. Becker received the DMEF 2009 Rising Star Award at Bridgewaters in the South Street Seaport in Manhattan during the DM Days New York Conference & Expo, which is being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Mr. Becker is the vice president of mobile strategies for iLoop Mobile Inc. and a leader in the mobile marketing community, assuming the roles of entrepreneur, volunteer and academic.

He sits on the Mobile Marketing Association's North American Board of Directors and is a member of DMA's Annual Programming Advisory and Mobile councils.

In addition, he is an author and public speaker on mobile marketing.

In 2007, Mr. Becker was awarded the MMA's Individual Achievement Award for his contributions to the mobile marketing community.

Other award-winners include Gretchen Littlefield of Triplex Direct Marketing, Chuck Sharp of iCrossing and David Ventresca of Maghound Enterprises Inc.

The Corporate Commitment Award winner was Litle & Co.
