New big shots at the Mobile Marketing Association
The Mobile Marketing Association has named a new board of directors for North America, chaired by Coca-Cola Co.’s Tom Daly.
The 2008 lineup includes industry heavyweights and representatives from Fortune 500 companies, all tasked with pushing the envelope for mobile advertising and mobile content.
On the MMA’s North America executive committee are chairman Mr. Daly, group manager for strategy & planning at Coca-Cola; vice-chairman Gene Keenan, vice president of mobile services at Isobar; treasurer Michael Bayle, senior director of global mobile monetization at Yahoo; and secretary Maria Mandel, executive director of digital innovation at OgilvyInteractive.
The committee also includes director at large Michael Becker, executive vice president of business development at iLoop Mobile Inc., and Laura Marriott, president of the MMA.
The MMA’s board includes Amanda Richman, senior vice president and director of digital services at MediaVest USA; Chirag Bakshi, vice president for messaging at VeriSign Inc.; Craig Kirkland, director of messaging & voice services at Alltel Wireless; former MMA global and North America chairman Cyriac Roeding, executive vice president of CBS Mobile at CBS Corp.’s CBS Interactive; and David Oberholzer, vice president for corporate development at Limbo Inc.
Also on the board are Diana Pouilot, director of mobile advertising at Google Inc.; Doug Busk, vice president of industry relations at SinglePoint; Greg Clayman, executive vice president of digital distribution and business development at MTV Networks; Jeffrey Glass, partner at Bain Capital Ventures; Jeremy Wright, global director of mobile brand strategy at Nokia; Jim Manis, president/CEO of 1024 Wireless Services; and John C. Burris, vice president for wireless data at Sprint Nextel.
Other board members are Jordan Berman, executive director of media Innovation at AT&T Mobility; Louis Gump, vice president of mobile at The Weather Channel Interactive; Matt Champagne, director of product management at Microsoft (MSN & Windows Live); Mitch Feinman, senior vice president at Fox Mobile Entertainment; Nick Macilveen, director of carrier relations at OpenMarket Inc.; Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital media programming at Verizon; Steve Livingston, chief marketing officer at mBlox; Venetia Espinoza, group manager for mobile applications and partner programs at T-Mobile USA; and Webster Lewin, director of mobile marketing at R/GA.
The MMA is the leading trade organization for mobile marketing, comprising 600 members worldwide.
The association will hold its next North American event, the Mobile Marketing Forum, June 10-11 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square New York Hotel.
