MMA 2011 board of directors to accelerate growth of mobile marketing

The Mobile Marketing Association has named its 2011 North American board of directors to provide leadership and strategic guidance for the association, support its members and sustain growth of the mobile marketing industry.

Key focus areas for the 2011 North American board will be to accelerate the growth of mobile marketing and advertising and oversee the release of next generation advertising, mobile marketing standards and best practices.

The MMA board will also support industry self-regulation and consumer protection efforts. It will oversee the production of enhanced industry measurement, metrics and educational programs.

The new slate of North American directors includes the following elected members:

? John Styers, vice president of corporate strategy and industry relations, 3C Interactive

? Louis Gump, vice president of mobile, CNN

? Kristy Young, director of product management, ESPN

? Joy Liuzzo, senior director of mobile research, InsightExpress

? Paul Palmieri, president/CEO, Millennial Media

? Diane Strahan, vice president of mobile and registry services, Neustar

? Cameron Clayton, senior vice president of mobile, The Weather Channel Interactive

? Tom Daly, director of mobile and global interactive marketing, The Coca-Cola Co.

? Jack Philbin, cofounder and president, Vibes Media

? David Katz, vice president of North America Mobile, Yahoo

The elected directors join emeritus, honorary and sustaining directors in North America:

? Lisa Ciangiulli, director of marketing advertising solutions, Alcatel-Lucent

? Greg McCastle, senior vice president of advanced ad solutions, AT&T Advanced Ad Solutions

? Maria Mandel, vice president marketing and media innovation, AT&T Advanced Ad Solutions

? Mario Ribera, director of U.S. product management, Microsoft Corp.

? Cindy Sullivan, product and project management, Sprint

? Venetia Espinoza, group manager of the mobile application and partner program, T-Mobile

? Stephanie Bauer Marshall, manager of mobile advertising, Verizon Wireless

The MMA is a global nonprofit trade association representing all players in the mobile marketing value chain. It has more than 700 member companies.
