Subaru taps iPad interface to promote 2011 vehicles

Subaru of America Inc. has rolled out new iPad applications that let consumers explore its new Outback, Frester and WRX/STI vehicles with 360-degree views, videos and interactive demonstrations.

According to the company, the apps are based on its 2011 model digital brochures. The applications are available for free download in Apple?s App Store.

Subaru is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered in Cherry Hill, NJ, the company markets and distributes Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of more than 600 dealers across the United States.

Mobile driven
Subaru believes that the apps will enhance the auto research experience by offering trim simulators along with engineering and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive feature demonstrations.

The company saw that a majority of car shoppers are researching everything from financing to auto insurance via their mobile devices.

The iPad tablet is a great way to encourage consumers to learn more about the company?s products in a new and interactive way.
