NHL, JetBlue execs to dish on mobile at New York event

Executives from the National Hockey League, OMD, JetBlue and ClearChannel will discuss mobile?s role in their marketing plans and trends coming down the pipeline at Zoove?s Mobile Marketing in the Morning event this week.

Mobile has become more mainstream for marketers in the past few years, which the session will address with executives from various sectors of the industry. Additionally, the panel will present a look at how mobile marketing initiatives differ this year compared to past years for brands.

?Mobile as a silo is dead for us,? said Chris Golier, vice president of mobile marketing and strategy at the NHL, New York.

?No matter what, you can get NHL on any screen,? he said. ?We?re trying to do more to bring that out and create a more engaging and valuable experience.?

?The other big area is in-arena. The bulk of fans already go to games, but we can always be more progressive there.?

Mobile Marketing in the Morning is organized by Zoove, and Mobile Marketer is a media partner.

The event will take place on Wednesday at New York?s Helen Mills Event Space.

Panelists for the event are Mr. Golier; Jonathan Stephen, head of mobile at JetBlue; Owen Grover, senior vice president of content partnerships at ClearChannel; Jon Kaiser, global digital strategy lead for Pepsi at OMD and Joe Gillespie, CEO/president of Zoove/StarStar.

The panel will be moderated by Mickey Alam Khan, editor in chief of Mobile Marketer.
