Thumbplay content now available to Comcast subscribers

Comcast.net, Comcast's broadband service, has partnered with Thumbplay to add a mobile entertainment library to the site.

Comcast.net users can now download today's hottest music, ringtones, videos and games directly to their mobile phones from http://m.Comcast.net.

"We are very excited to offer mobile content services to Comcast mobile consumers," said Are Traasdahl, founder/CEO of Thumbplay, New York. "We are excited to get our music, ringtone and games out there."

The content will not be ad-supported.

Comcast.net Mobile delivers information and entertainment including on-the-go Comcast.net email access, search function, up-to-date breaking news, television and movie listings and local weather.

Thumbplay has an extensive and ever-growing entertainment library of more than 100,000 pieces of licensed content -- including music, ringtones, videos and games.

Thumbplay's locker service allows users to automatically back-up and store whatever they buy and the community feature allows subscribers to share downloads among friends using Facebook.

Comcast.net customers have the option of downloading Thumbplay content to their mobile phones a la carte or through paid subscription-based credits.

Thumbplay features music content from some the of the world's largest entertainment companies, like EMI, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group.

The site also features game downloads such as The Dark Knight, Resident Evil -- Genesis, Crash Nitro Kart 2, and Jenga.

Comcast.net is operated by Comcast Interactive Media. Comcast.net is the main portal for Comcast's 14.4 million high speed internet customers and garners with over 3.7 billion page views and 17.6 million unique visitors per month.

Thumbplay has also launched the Beta version of Thumbplay Open (open.thumbplay.com).
Through Thumbplay Open, independent content owners can effortlessly upload, manage and sell digital content to an audience of more than 230 million mobile customers in the U.S. The service is live now.
