Mobile Minutes: BlackBerry Classic; Facebook video ads; stopping Amazon; NBC TV everywhere

BlackBerry Ltd launched its long-awaited Classic device on Wednesday, a smartphone it hopes will help it win back market share and woo those still using older versions of its physical keyboard devices.

Facebook has turned heads over the past few weeks as a handful of big holiday ad campaigns quickly reached a big audience on the social media platform. That?s because the rapid spread of big video ad efforts has largely been YouTube?s territory to date. 

Thanks to its ugly spat with book publishers, Amazon has lately been cast as the abominable boogeyman of American commerce.

NBC is going big into TV Everywhere. The network was set to announce plans Tuesday to do live linear streaming of its network broadcasts on NBC.com and on mobile devices in early 2015.
