Tumblr taps its community to work with advertisers
Tumblr has long promoted itself as a hub for artists and creative entrepreneurs.
Now, Tumblr wants to put those people to work. To that end, the company
unveiled a new initiative, in which it plans to hand-pick some of its most
popular artists and creative users and pair them up with brands who want to
advertise across the popular blogging platform.

How Kik plans to steal Snapchat's teen hearts
Recently, Kik's app was the 16th-most-popular free app on Apple's App Store,
ahead of Twitter and Pinterest. Among social networking iOS apps, App Annie
ranked it seventh, ahead of LinkedIn and WeChat.

In-flight retailer SkyMall files for Chapter 11
bankruptcy protection
SkyMall, the company that produces in-flight catalogs located on nearly every
domestic flight, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Thursday, after
struggles to reach passengers who were turning to smartphones and tablets
during flights.
