Google and Apple Fight for the Car Dashboard
When Google hosted a boot camp here this month for its Android operating system, there were some new faces in the room: auto manufacturers. They made the trip to learn about Android Auto, a new dashboard system meant to let a smartphone power a car?s center screen. A similar scene is playing out just a few miles down the road at Apple, where a rival system, CarPlay, has been developed for iPhone users.

Samsung Releases Galaxy S6 Teasers That Appear To Confirm Metal Design And Curved Displays
Samsung has recently posted two teasers for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6. One teaser is a 45-second video on YouTube and the other is a profile photo on Instagram. Both of the teasers appear to confirm some of the rumored Galaxy S6 specifications.

Mobile app gives police all the information they need at their fingertips
The long arm of the law in NSW is about to reach out further and quicker thanks to modern technology. A trial of new smart phones for about 500 NSW police officers means they?ll be able to look up the backgrounds, bail conditions and sometimes photographs of people with a few screen taps.

Open shared Dropbox links in the Dropbox mobile app
With a recent update, Dropbox has made it quicker and easier to work with shared links on an iOS or Android device. Now when someone emails you a Dropbox link and you tap on the link to open the file in your default mobile browser, you are offered a button to Open in app.
