FitnessBuilder iPhone app adds pro access and print functionality

Mobile personal training service provider PumpOne announced the release of FitnessBuilder 3, which lets consumers and trainers send workout PDFs from the application for online viewing and printouts.

FitnessBuilder contains a database of exercise images and videos. Consumers can access a personal trainer along with fitness tools, calculators and tracking features.

?The strategy is to provide the best product, service and support,? said Craig Schlossberg, president of PumpOne, New York. ?By doing that, the goodwill will extend to users wanting to get expert fitness advice and accomplish their goals.?

PumpOne is a database service provider that offers consumers customizable workout programs.

FitnessBuilder Pro allows trainers to create workouts with a simple drag-and-drop feature while viewing all previous workout and exercise history.

?The most unique feature of FitnessBuilder.com is that we don?t hide from customers, we promote contact,? Mr. Scholssberg said. ?There is an ask button right on the home screen that connects any user directly to a real live personal trainer.

?Those one-on-one private sessions of personal history and how to reach their fitness goals wind up making the customer realize that this is a company that cares and a product that works,? he said. ?To get the advice we give everyday would cost way more than 10 years of subscriptions.?

FitnessBuilder uses Facebook Connect to post workouts to people?s walls as well as an in-application Twitter feed to keep users up to date with the latest news, products, features and upgrades.

Trainers will have access to 5,600 exercise images and videos with more than 650 pre-built workouts available on the application.

PumpOne also created Share Workout that allows users to send workouts to friends with an HTML email link that brings them to iTunes to download the application.

The program lets trainers track numerous body measurements and stats in each client?s individual profile.

?The app has five years of R & D [research and development] in it with every ground-breaking revolutionary feature you can imagine, yet we have to describe it to our audiences in a short succinct way, letting them know this is the only fitness program they?ll ever need,? Mr. Schlossberg said.

With FitnessBuilder, professionals can train both in person and remotely, which provides an affordable solution to consumers who cannot afford a personal trainer.

The program is designed to reach fitness enthusiasts who want to start a program at any age or fitness level as well as personal trainers, gym staffs, fitness instructors, athletic coaches, gym teachers and corporate fitness trainers.

PumpOne branded applications are $9.99 to download and $34.99 per year. For a professional it is $199.99 per year.

?We are adding an entire graph reporting component with the ability to get the graphs out of the app to share and show progress to others,? Mr. Schlossberg said. ?We are also working with physical therapists to create FitnessBuilder PT, which allows them to help patients recover faster with at home therapy after insurance ends.

?That is planned for a June release,? he said.
