Alien vs. Predator for mobile can be played in campaign or tournament mode

Twentieth Century Fox will launch a mobile game version of its “Aliens vs. Predator -- Requiem” movie in time for the Christmas season.

Fox Mobile Entertainment, a Twentieth Century subsidiary, and Superscape Group plc are handling the mobile game version of Aliens vs. Predator – Requiem.

In the movie, the iconic creatures from the Alien and Predator franchises wage a brutal battle on Earth. The science fiction action thriller captures the magic of the Aliens vs. Predator comics, novels and videogames that established the brand.

The mobile game features the “tail-whipping, acid-spitting, head-crunching” Aliens taking on the “high-tech stealth and advanced weaponry” of the Predators.

Alien vs. Predator for mobile can be played in campaign or tournament mode. In campaign mode, players must fight their way through a series of missions, first as an Alien, then as a Predator.

In tournament mode users can play online against other players. Every two weeks the game will move on to a different set of missions. Gamers can play as both Alien and Predator in each tournament. Each gamer’s score is added to the global total and will help to determine which species – Alien or Predator – wins.

The game offers different types of missions, including Kill 'em' all, Stealth or Labyrinth. Foes include Praetorian and the Alien Queen, as well as different human characters from the Alien vs. Predator universe. All of the characters have unique attacks and combat tactics.

Fox Mobile Entertainment, along with the Jamster/Jamba companies, are said to be the industry's largest vertically integrated mobile entertainment firms.

The game will be available throughout North America, South America, Canada, Japan and China. It will also be available to gamers worldwide via the Jamster/Jamba portal.
