Disney releases Alice in Wonderland app to support movie release

Disney Interactive Studios has launched the ?Alice in Wonderland ? An Adventure Beyond the Mirror,? application in accordance to the movie?s debut.

The video game application is inspired by the 3D fantasy adventure movie, Alice in Wonderland. IPhone and iTouch users can download the application for $4.99.

?Disney Interactive Studios took a unique approach with Alice in Wonderland where we first released a free Lite version of the game to drive buzz and momentum for the movie by letting users watch the full trailer, download wallpapers and discover other hidden items, all within the app,? said Stephen Saiz, director of marketing at Disney Interactive Studios, Glendale, CA.

?The premium version ? released on Feb. 22 closer to the movie?s opening date, is a much deeper game,? he said.

Disney Interactive Studios is part of Disney Interactive Media Group. The company self publishes and distributes a number of multi-platform video games, mobile games and interactive entertainment worldwide.
