U.S. troops hear Voices of America messaging

Mozes allows bands to leave voice messages for the troops

Mobile networking service Mozes and Armed Forces Entertainment have come together to help some major recording artists leave voice messages this holiday season for U.S. troops.

The musicians who are participating in the "Voices from America" campaign are The Backstreet Boys, Five for Fighting, Hinder, Jordin Sparks, Mario, Switchfoot's Jon Foreman and Teddy Geiger.

"We're really trying to support a cause that many of the artists that we work with believe in," said Irv Remedios, vice president of marketing at Mozes, Palo Alto, CA. "And the way we do that is by offering our platform to support the program."

Powered by Mozes, "Voices from America" allows bands to leave voice messages for the troops. Anyone can call the "Voices from America" number at 1-888-312-2612 to hear the artists' messages and leave a holiday message of their own.

All messages will be displayed on the "Voices from America" widget, accessible on each of the artists' MySpace pages. And troops serving overseas will have access to all messages through the support of Armed Forces Entertainment.

Fans and supporters can leave their messages for the troops until Jan. 1.

Currently more than 20 artists are connecting with their fans using Mozes' recently launched integrated voice feature. In a matter of a few weeks, three artists have reached more than 125,000 fans.

Using this new feature fans are able to get a personal message from the artist and also leave their own voice message.

"Ultimately mobile campaigns that are integrated online can be used to effectively deliver messages in ways that weren't possible before," Mr. Remedios said.
