Chris Cornell, Timbaland to meet fans at Verizon event

Verizon Wireless is bringing Chris Cornell, former front-man for Soundgarden and Audioslave, together with über-producer Timbaland to meet fans and sign autographs in South San Francisco.

The artists will be making the appearance in the San Francisco Bay Area as part of their eight-stop "Scream" album launch tour. Mr. Cornell's soon-to-be-released album was produced by Timbaland.

"This is the first time producer Timbaland will join an artist to premiere a new album, performed from beginning to end, months before its release," said Ed Ruth, director of music for Verizon, Basking Ridge, NJ. "We're giving fans unprecedented access to the artists through concert launch events and an exclusive mobile EP."

It will be held at the Verizon Wireless Communications Store at 150 El Camino Real in South San Francisco, CA.

Later that night, Chris Cornell and Timbaland will perform songs from the new album "Scream" live together at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

To learn how to score tickets to this exclusive album launch event, fans can visit any participating Verizon Wireless store.

Downloads of the limited edition mobile EP of "Scream" are available only through Verizon's V CAST Music.
