As mobile marketers and service providers, this industry is very familiar with the meaning of mobile marketing and recognizes when being marketed to. But what about the general public? Are they as aware?

Mobile Marketer intern Gabby Kalika attends Chapman University in Orange County, CA. When she told people at school she was interning for a mobile marketing publication, she was amazed at the number of dumbfounded faces she saw.

Could it be, that college students, who live on their mobile devices, did not know they are being marketed to on mobile every day?

Ms. Kalika walked around school asking fellow students whether they knew what mobile marketing is.
