Mywaves has attracted 4.5 million monthly visitors
Mywaves, a mobile video destination, now lets users connect with friends and the mywaves community, highlight their entertainment interests and share their favorites from handsets.
The company has introduced a new version of its online mobile video service with features to help users discover content by connecting them to a mobile community of people interested in entertainment.
The mywaves mobile release was developed in direct response to user demand for social features and will help evolve the mywaves mobile video platform.
Since its launch last year, mywaves has attracted a mobile video audience of more than 4.5 million monthly visitors. Users worldwide can access more than 300,000 channels of video that include professional programming, user-generated content and personal videos.
Mywaves’ latest offering helps users create and share their profiles and likes and dislikes with friends or the mywaves community, allowing others to discover the content they consider popular.
In addition, users can promote their favorite Web video clips in a "Favorites" channel that they can easily create, share and promote. The release also includes chat capabilities so that users can communicate with each other immediately.
Mywaves also includes new geo-targeting functionality to deliver relevant and regional content to people based on where they are tuning in.
