Mr. Kelton said that the iPad application enables a richer, more engaging and fun experience for social entertainment than its iPhone cousin.

The application creates overlays for conversations, encouraging the users to interact with fans and friends around the shows, movies, music and books they love.

GetGlue for iPad also lets users vote directly from the stream and to navigate to profiles, objects details and conversations.

The application was developed using Appcelerator?s Titanium, a cross-platform application development environment.

?We?re very excited to get something out for the fast-growing iPad market,? Mr. Kelton said. ?Its functional form is very similar to our iPhone and Android applications, as one of our goals was to make sure the user experience was consistent and familiar.

?We?ve seen great adoption and feedback on smartphones, but we wanted to capitalize on the iPad?s larger screen size and native user interface elements,? he said. ?We took the iPad user interface overlay and used that to create a mobile immersive experience and conversational elements.

?We?re also introducing richer media?being able to be introduced to the content in a really high-quality, engaging way is something we?re able to do easily on the iPad.?
