Air2Web designs mobile services for insurers

That was a lucky chap

Mobile marketing firm Air2Web has launched a new suite of mobile marketing offerings for the insurance industry.

Air2Web and insurance industry experts have been working to identify specific processes which can be most improved by implementing mobile marketing. The focus groups have identified that insurance companies can use mobile for promotions, service and transactions.

“Mobile is a good supplement to other mediums of marketing,” said Bill Jones, president of Air2Web, Atlanta. “Mobile works well for insurance companies because it's all about connecting the prospect to the sales person, and mobile can do just that.”

Air2Web’s products will let insurance companies introduce new product offerings or create mobile versions of existing marketing campaigns, bring immediacy to customer service via claims alerts or policy changes and updates, and authorize payments or boost customer loyalty by offering ringtones and wallpapers.

“The insurance market is highly diverse,” Mr. Jones said.

“It is made up of a lot of sales people who are highly mobile," he said. "They do get marketing support from their company, but also have their own client base and need to do their own marketing within their client base.”

Mobile marketing supplements an insurance company’s existing phone and email systems to provide a ubiquitous communications system. So no matter where a client is, the insurer will be able to send and receive important updates and critical information.

“Consumers want to know what is the status of their claim immediately,” Mr. Jones said. “It's all about client satisfaction, which could be attained by connecting the client to the process of the claim.”
