Apple?s App Store downloads pass 15B mark
Apple has announced that more than 15 billion apps have been downloaded from its App Store by more than 200 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users worldwide. The company?s app store offers more than 425,000 apps and developers have created more than 100,000 native iPad apps.

According to the company, users of the more than 200 million iOS devices can choose from a range of apps in 20 categories, including games, business, news, education, sports, health, reference and travel.

Additionally, Apple claims that it has paid developers more than $2.5 billion to date.

Amazon plans to roll out cloud player support for iPad
Amazon has announced three enhancements to its Cloud Drive and Cloud Player with plans that include unlimited space for music, free storage for MP3 purchases and Cloud Player for Web and iPad.

The Cloud Player will let users play music stored in the cloud on any Android phone, Android tablet, Mac, PC and iPad.

The Cloud Player is optimized to let consumers stream playback of their Cloud Drive music using the Safari browser.

Pennsylvania Lottery lets consumers find nearby retailers
Pennsylvania Lottery has introduced a mobile-optimized site that lets on-the-go consumers access lottery information, find nearby retailers and check winning numbers.

Consumers can access the mobile site by entering m.palattery.com on their mobile browser

According to the company, over the past year, the number of monthly visits to its site from mobile devices has more than doubled ? rising from 409,435 in May 2010 to 944,451 in May 2011.

Additionally, consumers can browse winning numbers, past winning numbers and information on the VIP Players Club via the mobile site.
