Buongiorno taps NeoMedia to deliver mobile bar codes to marketers

Brands say "Buongiorno" to mobile bar codes
Italian media company and mobile content distributor Buongiorno has partnered with NeoMedia Technologies Inc., which specializes in mobile bar code scanning services.

Under the terms of the agreement, B! Digital, Buongiorno?s mobile marketing and advertising division, will employ the NeoSphere bar code creation and management system to create and manage mobile bar code campaigns worldwide, with an initial focus on the North American and Western European markets.

The partnership represents a shared vision for a new class of marketing that enables immediate and actionable consumer interaction. NeoMedia claims it will enable Buongiorno?s clients to deliver a richer and more interactive experience to consumers.

NeoSphere is a mobile bar code management and infrastructure solution that enables agencies and advertisers to easily develop, launch and manage a mobile bar code campaign.

The goal of adding NeoMedia?s campaign management system to Buongiorno?s portfolio is to help clients develop and deploy targeted and engaging advertising and marketing campaigns that blend interactivity, immediacy and measurability.

Zynga acquires mobile social game developer Unoh
Zynga has acquired Tokyo-based Unoh, a mobile and social gaming company.

Unoh will be part of the foundation of Zynga Japan?s mobile product efforts, which will be a joint venture between SoftBank Group and Zynga.

The goal of the acquisition is to accelerate Zynga Japan?s entry into the Japanese mobile and social gaming markets.

Founded in 2001, Unoh was one of Japan?s first social game companies, with titles such as Machitsuku, Band Yarouyo and Kaizoku Chronicle.

In addition to maintaining Unoh?s games on mixi, Mobage-town, and GREE, Zynga Japan will also localize Zynga games and develop new games targeted at the Japanese market.

Shintaro Yamada, founder/CEO of Unoh, will help lead Zynga Japan?s mobile efforts.

Sybase powers mobile applications for SAP enterprise customers
Sybase Inc., an SAP company that specializes in enterprise and mobile software, is helping to launch mobile applications for SAP enterprise customers on the Sybase Unwired Platform.

The latest version of the Sybase Unwired Platform enables enterprise developers to build applications that connect business data to mobile workers on any device, at any time.

More than 30 new SAP-focused partnerships have been formed since the fourth quarter of 2009, leveraging Sybase?s architecture that drives a set of mobile applications and services geared toward improving productivity and customer service, while addressing issues related to mobility deployments.

In addition to the Sybase Unwired Platform, Sybase delivers custom mobile applications for SAP services?Sybase Mobile Sales for SAP CRM and Sybase Mobile Workflow for SAP Business Suite?that tap into a range of back-end data sources.

Sybase is providing these offerings to enterprises such as Bluefin Solutions, HCL AXON, Maihiro, msc mobile, NEO Business Partners and T-Systems.
