Ovi Store downloads increase to 2.3 million per day
With the number of active Nokia service users now reaching 140 million worldwide, the company said that more than 200,000 people are currently signing up daily to Ovi.

Additionally, the Ovi Store has reached the milestone of 2.3 million downloads per day.

Available in more than 190 countries, Ovi is discovered through Maps, Music, Messaging, Store and, in select countries, Life Tools.

The growing popularity of the Ovi experience has also led to 70 developers and publishers each surpassing the million-download mark for their content in the Ovi Store.

Developers and publishers reaching and moving past this milestone include Digital Chocolate, Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Indiagames, PepsiCo, Qik, Shazam, HeroCraft and Offscreen Technologies.

Dialogue supports Dolby with first mobile surround sound campaign
Mobile solutions and messaging specialists Dialogue Communications Ltd. has worked with sound specialist Dolby to launch a mobile microsite for the ?Dolby Mobile Campaign.?

Through Dolby mobile-equipped handsets, users can experience cinematic surround sound on a mobile phone.

Dialogue was approached by Dolby to design and deliver the live mobile site, which forms an integral part of an online marketing campaign to promote the Dolby Mobile technology that is now available on a range of handsets from LG and Acer in Britain.

Through the site, a series of downloadable sample video and sound files can be accessed to enable people to experience high-definition surround sound first-hand on their handset.

ATG aims to help merchants speed mobile commerce implementation
ATG has introduced ATG Commerce 10 to help merchants speed commerce implementations, improve merchandising, rapidly launch multiple sites and easily expand into new markets.

The release will include redesigned merchandising applications, new cross-channel selling and multi-site management features and tools that help organizations to work with greater speed, control and efficiency.

These capabilities are designed to increase the value of merchandise and the profitability of overall commerce initiatives.

Telekom Srbija selects Aumne as a secure SMS provider
Aumne Inc. signed a contract with Telekom Srbija, the main wireless carrier in Serbia, to distribute its private and secure SMS messaging solution.

This will enable Telekom Srbija to expand value-added service offerings to mobile customers.

Positioned as an upgrade to standard SMS messaging applications, customers in the region will be able to use Indigo SMS to secure text communications residing not only on their phone but those being transmitted over the air as well.

Under the agreement, Telekom Srbija will begin distributing Indigo SMS this quarter.

There will be product support for multiple mobile operating systems: Research In Motion, Windows Mobile, Symbian, J2ME and Indigo.

SMS is widely-available on most text-capable smart phones, PDAs and other devices in Serbia.

Aumne has planned releases for both Google's Android OS and the Apple iPhone.
