Webinar on Oct. 26 with Gilt Groupe: 5 Last-Minute Tips for Effective 2011 Holiday Mobile Marketing

While most brands and retailers already have their holiday mobile strategy and tactics in place, consumer response to the fluid economic situation may require tweaks and adjustments for effective branding and customer acquisition and retention.

In a recent survey by PayPal, 46 percent of respondents said that they plan to make holiday purchases with a mobile device this year, rendering the cost of not getting holiday mobile marketing right pretty high. Sponsored by Syniverse, this hour-long webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET will offer expert advice on last-minute tweaks to mobile efforts that can really drive a marketer?s bottom-line.

?Given that one out of three U.S. consumers is armed with a Web- and app-enabled smartphone and those that aren?t are equally savvy with text, brands and retailers are likely to pull out all stops to get in front of this increasingly discerning audience,? said Giselle Tsirulnik, senior editor on Mobile Marketer and Mobile Commerce Daily, New York.

?Not surprisingly, the marketing cacophony this holiday season will extend not just to TV commercials, print ads, radio spots, search and Internet banners, but also to ads on mobile Web and apps, check-in promos, daily deals, QR codes, rich media executions and SMS-led database-building and CRM efforts,? she said.

?Therefore, it can be safely said that getting heard this year will be harder than holiday seasons past. What can differentiate the smart marketer from the run-of-the-mill is effective use of mobile as a marketing destination and also as an enabler for other retail and marketing channels. This webinar is designed to help correct the course even as finishing touches are being put on holiday mobile marketing plans.?
