Webinar on July 31: Why text messaging is still key to reaching millennials

Please click here to register for this free webinar, "Why text messaging is still key to reaching milennials" at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 31

Millennials are quickly becoming the largest and most influential generation of consumers. They are always connected, always on their phones, and always texting. Significantly more millennials than members of any other generation use their phone for texting. Currently, more millennials use their phone for text messaging than any other generation. In fact, 43 percent of millennials say that texting is just as meaningful as a voice conversation with someone over the phone.

With a 99 percent open rate, it is clear why text messaging is the most popular communication channel among millennials. The typical teenager sends and receives over 3,339 texts per month, and older teens text more than 181 times per day. Millennials are also about twice as likely as Baby Boomers to share mobile phone numbers with marketers. So why are not all companies using text messaging to reach this target demographic?

In this free, hour-long webinar on July 31 starting at 2 p.m. ET, Michael Sabat, vice president of business development at Mobile Commons, and Greg Thomas, lead strategist at TMI, along with Sandy Mencer, director of student communications, Bowling Green State University, will discuss why text messaging via mobile is the best way to reach millennials, win their loyalty, keep them engaged, and get them to take action.

Mr. Sabat will explain how marketers can use text messages ? the chosen form of communication by millennials ? to create one-on-one conversations that drive real results and create real action.

Also, the webinar, which is sponsored by Mobile Commons, will examine how using text messaging fits into the marketing mix and how companies can use text messaging to increase conversion across all marketing channels.

The webinar is one in a series produced by Mobile Marketer to inform and educate retailers, brands, agencies, publishers and marketers on mobile advertising, marketing and media.
