Mobile Minutes: Twitter seeks secondary audience; Chinese iPhone prices soar; GrubHub revenue jumps; Halloween apps rise

The company?s new focus is on enlarging its secondary audience, the universe of everyone who interacts with Twitter content in the course of doing something else. On Wednesday, at its first-ever mobile developer conference, Flight, it took a big step in that direction, introducing a suite of tools meant to entice developers into weaving Twitter?s technology and advertising into every app they build.

The iPhone 6 goes for 5,288 yuan ($864) at the Apple Store. That's a pricey phone no matter where you're from, but especially in China, where the most popular Xiaomi smartphones go for about a third of the price. Yet, the Chinese are buying iPhones.

GrubHub Inc reported a more than five-fold jump in quarterly profit as more consumers used the online food-order-and-delivery company to order meals. The company's shares rose as much as 6 percent to $39.50 in early trading on Thursday.
