The Mobile Excellence Awards announced its 2009 Mobile Excellence Award winners, which included high-profile VIPs and an all-star attendance at the Mobile Excellence Awards event in Los Angeles.

The MEAs were founded and created to recognize the best in mobile entertainment industry including media, marketing and technology. The annual Mobile Excellence Awards claim to be one of the most influential and prestigious events in the Mobile Entertainment industry and hit unprecedented milestones in its second year.

The MEAs doubled its attendance and award submissions this year and saw submission entries from 12 different countries.

CEOs flew in to Los Angeles from around the world to join the mobile glitterati for the evening.

International delegates on hand represented countries from Ireland, Israel, Turkey, London and Russia.

There was also a VIP Viewing Suite for presenters hosted by AEG Network Live, which previewed the upcoming Dave Matthews Band in HD3D.

Mobile Excellence Award finalists and winners were selected based upon strategic initiatives and objectives, impact of technology used, creativity, ease of use and reach, execution and proven market success.

Judges for the 2009 Mobile Excellence Awards were comprised of an esteemed panel of industry leaders and luminaries who were all in attendance the evening of the event.

Twenty-One companies overall were presented with a spectacular 18 pounds of heavy cut crystal award and honored for their excellence.

The three top awards for the evenings gala event included the Peoples Choice, presented to AEG Network Live, Industry Star Award presented to GoTV Networks, and the most anticipated award of the year presented to Daniel Tibbets, executive vice president and studio chief at GoTV Networks, which commanded a standing ovation.
