In a surprise announcement Thursday, Amazon unveiled the Echo, a cylindrical
Internet-connected speaker that has an intelligence of its own. Like the mobile
digital assistants we?ve come to know (if not love), the Echo responds to
natural-language voice commands.

Morgan Stanley employees can use Uber Technologies Inc. cars for company trips,
making the bank one of the first firms to make it policy to reimburse employees
for the service.

Facebook is launching a fundraising campaign to help groups fighting Ebola. The
