Mobile Minutes: Android to subsume Chrome; LinkedIn?s mobile boost; T-Mobile is streaming friendly; Twitch expands

Google is merging its stripped-down Chrome operating system for affordable laptops into its Android software for mobile devices, a person familiar with the matter said.

LinkedIn Corp. said investments in its mobile app and overseas markets are starting to pay off, as it posted a smaller-than-expected third-quarter loss and raised its financial forecast for the year.
