EMoney Advisor launches iPhone app

EMoney Advisor, a wealth and goal-planning service provider for financial advisors has released eMoney Mobile for iPhone and iPod touch.

This new application provides licensed advisors and their clients with access to financial data using eMoney's 360 & 360 Pro software suite. eMoney Mobile is available via Apple's App Store.

"We've been talking to advisors, and everyone's got a PDA or smartphone, everyone's on the road all the time, and they need to get clients answers whenever they need them," said John DeVincent, executive vice president of marketing for eMoney Advisor, Conshohocken, PA. "We initially launched an application for BlackBerry, and now we've released one for the iPhone.

"Advisors would like to be able to list and see their clients' financial data and also enable that for clients, so they can have access to their site via their iPhone or BlackBerry," he said. "Mobility has huge value for us, and it's a great deliverable for advisors.

"Get your financial information directly from your iPhone and see where we are with your goals and objectives."

EMoney Mobile for iPhone lets clients access their updated financial accounts, view important documents stored in their encrypted Vault, collaborate directly with their financial advisor and see other personal data including their advisor list, cash flow and balance sheet.

With eMoney for iPhone, advisors can pull up their entire client list and see up-to-date financial information for any of their clients.

They are also able to stay connected to their client's data when on the go.

"Advisors can deploy a client Web site, which is updated daily, making everything transparent to the client," Mr. DeVincent said. "Instead of handing them a paper-based plan, they can give their client a user name and password so they can see what the advisor has done.

"The can also upload copies of everything to create a digital vault of important documents," he said.

And although an eMoney license is required to use this software application, there is no additional fee for iPhone access.

EMoney Mobile for iPhone is the latest addition to the eMoney Everywhere program.

The eMoney Everywhere program integrates CRM, wireless, office and advisor tools with eMoney's Web-based applications to create a mobile advisor desktop.

EMoney Everywhere leverages Web services, common architectures and industry-standard file formats to allow for data integration of eMoney 360 and 360Pro with other tools.

EMoney Everywhere program provides advisors with a full financial desktop designed to translate into better workflow and the delivery of enhanced client service.

EMoney Advisor provides a suite of Web-based wealth-planning tools that offer an aggregated view of a client's financial portfolio, as well as features and functions that enable planning and servicing of a client's needs.

The company's suite of tools are used by financial services firms nationwide, including AIG Advisor Group, Asset Mark Investment Services, TD Bank, First Trust Bank, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, LPL Financial, MassMutual Financial Group, MetLife, Mercantile Bank, New York Life, National Life Group, Northern Trust, Principal Financial and Securian Financial Services.

"We would like to be the ultimate advisor tool, and mobility is the key to that," Mr. DeVincent said. "Advisors want to get information and answers back to clients as soon as possible, and the compression of time this mobile app offers is especially valuable in these rocky markets that we have right now.

"This is not a one-and-done mobile offering," he said. "We've seen a large move from BlackBerry to the iPhone, and we also want to support any PDA or smartphone that seems to be entrenched in the advisor world."
