FedEx enables on-the-go shipping

FedEx has debuted a new BlackBerry application and a mobile site to let customers ship, track and find bricks-and-mortar locations via their mobile device.

Customers can access and manage their MyFedEx account via the application and Web site. The BlackBerry application is available for free in BlackBerry App World.

?From Usablenet's perspective, this announcement marks our first mobile launch by an international courier,? said Nick Taylor, president of Usablenet, New York.

?As FedEx stands for fast and efficient logistics, Usablenet helps to further enhance these characteristics by enabling seamless on-the-go shipments,? he said.

FedEx provides customers and businesses with transportation, ecommerce and business services.

Customers can create a shipping label and email it as a PDF while out and about.

Additionally, consumers can schedule a pick-up and access pick-up history, cancel or track their shipment, find nearby locations based on their current location and get rate quotes.
