FranklinCovey launches career app

With the unemployment rate in the double digits, it is no wonder that Americans are stressed, discouraged and drained.

To help people find work and career fulfillment in these tough economic times, FranklinCovey and Signal Patterns have launched the Great Career iPhone application. The application marks the first time FranklinCovey has brought its career building ideas to the mobile platform.

"This app is a part of FranklinCovey?s strategy, which is to provide as many people as possible with our world renowned content featuring the best thought leaders in the industry who speak to the various issues with which our clients struggle, reaching them through as many channels as possible,? said Sam Bracken, general manager of media publishing at FranklinCovey Co., Salt Lake City, UT.

?This is part of our comprehensive solution, which is to address a variety of different learning styles to give people the easiest path available through which to access the content, based upon how they learn,? he said.

The iPhone application is a companion to Stephen Covey and Jennifer Colosimo's newly released book, Great Work, Great Career: How to Create Your Ultimate Job and Make an Extraordinary Contribution.

Users of the Great Career iPhone application can benefit from a wealth of in-depth, rich media content, combined with specific career-building exercises and other resources.

The iPhone application is designed to help people discover their unique strengths, talents, and experiences?and then understand how to put those qualities to work to find opportunities, solve problems and make a difference in the workplace.

The application?s activities and functionality include:
