Verizon promotes Disney's Jonas Brothers movie

Verizon Wireless, together with Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas, celebrated the release of Walt Disney Pictures' Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience last weekend in Dallas with an evening of entertainment.

On the agenda for Jonas Brothers fans were an exclusive private screening of the movie, a red-carpet after-party, a special appearance from Demi Lovato and a remix by Timbaland of the movie's theme song "Tonight," which will be available first to BlackBerry Storm smartphone customers.

"We've worked with Timbaland on a number of projects around the Mobile Recording Bus, including the songs that will be available first on the BlackBerry Storm," said Debra Lewis, spokeswoman for Verizon Wireless, Basking Ridge, NJ. "We've also worked with the Jonas Brothers on a number of projects, so it was a great match to put the two together, and the movie premier was a great fit.

"We had previously asked BlackBerry Storm smartphone customers if they wanted alerts when new music from this collaboration was available, so they were notified that way as well," she said.

To get the party started, the Jonas Brothers joined multi-platinum music producer Timbaland on the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus to debut an exclusive remix of "Tonight," the theme song from the film, which recently opened in 3D theaters nationwide.

"Tonight" marks the second song in this exclusive music program produced by Timbaland in collaboration with various artists.

Songs from the program are available for a limited time for free to Verizon Wireless customers using their BlackBerry Storm smartphones from Research In Motion.

Available exclusively in the United States from Verizon Wireless, the BlackBerry Storm has a clickable touch screen and multimedia features, including support for V Cast Music with Rhapsody.

Verizon Wireless customers can get the exclusive Timbaland remix of the Jonas Brothers' "Tonight" by visiting http://www.VerizonTimbalandStorm.com using the BlackBerry Storm smartphone's browser, entering the device's phone number and then downloading the track.

This song, and the other collaborations, will be available to all V Cast Music customers later this spring.

Verizon Wireless is working with Timbaland, in collaboration with other top artists, to bring new songs to BlackBerry Storm smartphone customers in connection with several special events over the next several months.

Customers with BlackBerry Storm smartphones will be first to get the new tracks, which will feature different artists and genres.

"Throughout my career as a producer, I've worked with many different artists spanning a number of music genres," said Timbaland in a written statement. "Working with the Jonas Brothers on the ?Tonight' remix has allowed me to connect with a new group of fans and has been one of the most unique collaborations yet."

Verizon Wireless operates a wireless voice and data network serving more than 80 million customers, making it the No. 1 U.S. carrier.

Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon and Vodafone.

Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience is a Walt Disney Pictures rockumentary feature film from director Bruce Hendricks, of Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert fame.

The film blends excerpts from the brothers' "Burning Up" concert tour, including guest performances from Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, back-stage segments, the never-before-heard song "Love Is On Its Way," swarming fans and a lot of Jonas Brothers-style humor, giving fans insights into the lives of Kevin, Joe and Nick.

Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience is rated G for general audiences.

"We are excited to debut our new collaboration with Timbaland and to make this new version of the song available to our fans who use the BlackBerry Storm," said Kevin Jonas in a written statement.

"This weekend means a lot to us, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than giving the gift of new music to our fans," he said.
